Aircraft Landings
In-aircraft Check
At the completion of ground school and simulator training, the candidate
must complete a minimum number of landings, as indicated below. These
landings must be accomplished with a JAA examiner present in the same
aircraft type and variant as the training was completed.
The amount of flying
time in the air will be that required to complete the form: LST (MPA)
- Application for a Multi-Pilot Aeroplane Type Rating Skill Test for JAR-FCL
and UK Licences.
A candidate with less than 500 hours flying experience on similar
types of aircraft or less than 1,500 hours total flying time, will be
required to complete no less than six (6) landings.
A candidate with more than 500 hours flying experience on similar
types of aircraft and in excess of 1,500 hours total flying experience,
may reduce the requirement to a minimum of four (4) landings.
It is the responsibility
of the candidate to schedule and provide the aircraft. The cost of the
aircraft, whether rental or operation thereof, is not included in the
price quoted for the course.
