Thomas M. Ferranti

Tom Ferranti has served as CAE SimuFlite's vice president, technical services since February 2001; he was the managing director of the same department since 1995. He is responsible for planning and directing the maintenance, engineering, inventory and repair activity for CAE SimuFlite's fleet of simulators. He also directs maintenance and security for CAE SimuFlite's Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, headquarters.

Ferranti began his aviation simulator industry career in 1974 as a project coordinator for Singer-Link, Binghampton, N.Y., where he coordinated program engineering and manufacturing activities.

In 1985, Singer-Link transferred Ferranti to CAE SimuFlite, which it had acquired four years earlier. He was a technical support engineer prior to being promoted to manager, technical programs in 1987. In 1990, he was named manager, support operations, and in 1993, director, technical services.
