Las Vegas, October 13, 2004 -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE SimuFlite celebrated its 20th anniversary yesterday at its booth at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. It marked the occasion with a reception to honor longstanding customers and the launch of an historical folder detailing many of the organization's milestones. In 1984, SimuFlite Training International became the first provider to offer business-jet training in FAA-approved Phase ll (Level C) simulators. Based at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, SimuFlite's central location made it easily accessible to international and domestic clients. Today, CAE SimuFlite is the largest business aviation training center in the world, offering pilot and maintenance training at its 426,000-square foot facility. In addition to being the first training organization to receive FAA Part-142 certification, CAE SimuFlite has set many industry standards over the last two decades. In 2002, for instance, it became the first company to bring simulation-based training to the classroom with the launch of CAE Simfinity™ for its Boeing Business Jet training program. "Our commitment since the beginning has been to offer high-quality training that is tailored to our customers' needs while providing unparalleled levels of service, " said Jeff Roberts, CAE's group president for civil simulation and training. CAE is a leading provider of simulation technologies and integrated training services for commercial and business aviation, defense, and marine customers worldwide. The company has annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion, with manufacturing operations and training facilities in 19 countries on five continents. # # # |
