GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, May 25, 2004-- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – Over the next 12 months, CAE plans to introduce new courses for the Citation X, Legacy, Hawker 800XP and Falcon 900B/EX using CAE Simfinity simulation-based training tools. Courses will be offered at CAE SimuFlite in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and at Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai. These programs add to a growing list of simulation-based classroom training for business jet operators already being offered at CAE's global network of training centres, which includes the Gulfstream IV, the Gulfstream V, the Boeing Business Jet and most recently the Falcon 2000. CAE Simfinity-based training incorporates high-fidelity simulation at the beginning of the training process. The integrated procedures trainer (3-D) and the virtual simulator (2-D) allow pilots to gain practical experience with airframe systems, engine and avionics before they train on a full-flight simulator. "The introduction of these new courses using CAE Simfinity is driven by the great response we have from our customers," said Jeff Roberts, group president, civil simulation and training. "Every student who has experienced CAE Simfinity said that it is the best training environment that they have ever been exposed to." CAE Simfinity is widely recognized as the leading simulation-based pilot and maintenance training solution. It is currently being used in CAE's training centres and by more than 20 commercial airlines and original equipment manufacturers. CAE is a leading provider of simulation technologies and integrated training services to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, defence forces, and marine customers worldwide. The company has annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion, with manufacturing operations and training facilities in 19 countries on five continents. CAE is at booth No. 7505 at the EBACE trade show in Geneva May 25-27, where a CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer demonstration will take place. # # # |
