DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, March 11, 2004-- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – This month marks an important milestone for CAE SimuFlite. CAE’s flagship business-jet training center celebrates its 20th anniversary. In March 1984, SimuFlite Training International opened its doors for business-jet training at its current location at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, becoming the first such provider to offer training in FAA-approved Phase ll (Level C) simulators. At the time, it was a 14-bay center, and its central location made it easily accessible to international and domestic clients. It also became possible for flight crews to train under one roof on a variety of full-flight simulators for different aircraft types. “Service, quality and technology are the factors that make CAE SimuFlite a leader in the industry,” said Tom Stelter, CAE SimuFlite’s vice president and general manager. “Our commitment 20 years ago was to maximize the client’s training experience, and it’s still our commitment today.” He added that CAE SimuFlite focuses on understanding how the client defines value in order to meet and surpass those expectations. In 1986, the company expanded its training services and customer base by offering aviation maintenance technician training, enabling flight departments to train their entire crews there. Several expansions later, CAE SimuFlite is now a 426,000-sq.ft. facility- the world's largest business aviation training center. It offers pilot training on more than 45 business aircraft types and has more than 400 dedicated employees in its workforce. Through its scholarship program, CAE SimuFlite is strongly involved in promoting business aviation as a career choice for female aviators, aircraft maintenance technicians and recently graduated college students. It also participates in other philanthropic endeavors within the community. CAE is a leading provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies to civil aviation, military and marine customers. The company generates annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion and employs about 5,500 people in Canada, the United States and around the globe. # # # |
