CAE SimuFlite to add Citation X simulator to global training network

ORLANDO, October 6, 2003 --

(NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE SimuFlite will add a Citation X Level D-certified full-flight simulator to its facility in Dallas. The device, which will be ready for training during fall 2004, will also be the first Citation X simulator installed in CAE's global network of training centers.

It will be equipped with a CAE Tropos™ visual system, and the training program will include CAE Simfinity™ simulation-based ground school.

In addition to the new device, CAE SimuFlite offers training programs for the following Citation models: 500, 550, 560, 560XL, 650, Ultra, Bravo and the Citation Jet.

The Citation X is the latest in a long line of training programs that CAE SimuFlite has put in place in the past two years. This year alone, it has added Level-D simulators for Falcon 900EX, Falcon 2000, Hawker 800 and Sikorsky S76C+ training programs.

CAE's global network currently operates a total of 44 full-flight simulators that serve the business aviation community: Twenty-nine are at CAE SimuFlite in Dallas, and the remainder of the fleet, which includes all the Airbus ACJs and Boeing BBJs, are installed at centers across the globe. Three additional business-jet simulators will be installed in the next few months at Emirates CAE Flight Training in Dubai: Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream V and Hawker 800/XP.

"Adding the Citation X simulator and training program, along with all the others, shows our commitment to continually listen to the needs of our business aviation clients and to address the entirety of the active business aircraft fleet," said Jeff Roberts, executive vice-president, aviation training. "CAE SimuFlite's clients value the center's highly experienced and dedicated instructors, who provide the highest-quality training using the very latest technologies."

CAE SimuFlite offers pilot training on more than 30 aircraft types, and at 450,000 square feet, it is the world's largest business-aviation training center. Its instructors provide pilots with the complete range of pilot training, from ground school instruction through to full-flight simulator training.

CAE is a leading provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies to civil aviation, military and marine customers. The company generates annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion and employs more than 6,000 people in Canada, the United States and around the globe.
