ORLANDO, October 6, 2003 -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE SimuFlite is bringing its revolutionary CAE Simfinity™ simulation-based ground school training to the Gulfstream IV (GIV) and Gulfstream V (GV). As part of CAE's integrated training solutions, CAE SimuFlite will install a CAE Simfinity virtual simulator and a CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer for the GIV by January 2004 and GV in March 2004. CAE SimuFlite has been offering its CAE Simfinity-based training courses to pilots flying the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) for the past year. CAE is now expanding that service by offering personal interactive training over the Internet for BBJ pilots. CAE launched its CAE Simfinity simulation-based courses and training tools-accessible over the Internet-more than two years ago during the World Airline Training Conference and Trade Show (WATS). Since then, CAE Simfinity is being used by 20 operators, original equipment manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus, and is available in CAE's global training network. CAE Simfinity provides a seamless transition from ground school to the simulator, allowing pilots and maintenance personnel to be immersed in the cockpit from day one. Based on the same high fidelity software featured in CAE's Level D full-flight simulators, CAE's integrated training solutions ensure consistency, accuracy and quality across all training media. CAE Simfinity virtual simulator is a virtual cockpit display used as a student station or as an instructor-aid in a classroom environment. It offers the functionality of a full-flight simulator where procedures can be performed and practiced as in a live cockpit. CAE Simfinity three-dimensional integrated procedures trainer includes a simulation-based and graphically displayed virtual cockpit, aircraft system panels and schematics. Hands-on sessions in the CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer shortens the learning curve and provides the student with an advanced skill set previously attainable only on full-flight simulators. CAE SimuFlite will be at booth No. 2339 at the NBAA trade show in Orlando, Florida, October 7-9, where the CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer and virtual simulator for GIV training, as well as CAE Simfinity BBJ training over the Internet will be on display. # # # |
