CAE SimuFlite awards four aviation training scholarships

TORONTO, August 27, 2003 --

(NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE SimuFlite has awarded four Citation initial pilot training scholarships, through the University Aviation Association, to four university aviation students.

They are Robert W. Baker, University of Arizona; Michael J. Cole, Baylor University - Texas; Brandy S. Hearting, Kansas State University - Salina, KS; and Lance J. Koch, also of Kansas State University.

The University Aviation Association is an alliance of more than 100 accredited colleges and universities.

The CAE SimuFlite scholarships are intended to provide additional industry-based training opportunities to university aviation students and to broaden their awareness of corporate aviation career paths.

Brandy Hearting and Michael Cole recently completed their two-week intensive training and were granted their Citation type ratings.

Lowell Longenette, CAE SimuFlite instructor pilot, describes his experience with them: "Both students were exceptional. They had very little or no previous experience in a jet but you wouldn't have known it. They worked hard and were outstanding students. I really enjoyed my time with them."

Lance Koch and Robert Baker will begin training this November.

CAE is a leading provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies to civil aviation, military and marine customers. The company generates annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion and employs more than 6,000 people in Canada, the United States and around the globe.
