TORONTO, August 14, 2003 -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE has named Tom Stelter to the position of vice-president and general manager of Dallas/Fort Worth-based CAE SimuFlite. The CAE SimuFlite sales team has also added three new regional sales managers: Ned Carlson, Bob Jordan and Pedro Pirela. In his new position as vice-president and general manager, Stelter will have responsibility for developing new opportunities to grow CAE SimuFlite's customer base. He has been with the company since 1991 and had previously held the position of vice-president, specialized operations. Prior to joining CAE SimuFlite, he held a variety of management positions in aviation training and simulation, primarily with Rediffusion Simulation Inc. (presently Thales/L3). Stelter succeeds Jeff Roberts, now based in Montreal, Canada, as CAE's executive vice-president of aviation training. Stelter, a certified master black belt in Six Sigma, will report to Roberts in this position. "Tom has more than 25 years of experience in this business and recently oversaw CAE SimuFlite's day to day relationship with Gulfstream, Dassault and Bombardier, among others. He's extremely customer-centric and understands every aspect of CAE SimuFlite," said Jeff Roberts. "I believe he will help grow CAE's business-jet training." Ned Carlson, who has more than 20 years' experience in corporate and commercial aviation, has been named regional sales manager for the central region and will be based in Chicago. Bob Jordan, previously with FlightSafety International, has been named technical training sales manager for the western region of the United States and Latin America. Jordan will be based in Dallas. Pedro Pirela will assume duties as regional sales manager for pilot training for Latin America, where he has extensive experience, having worked as director of commercial operation for Aero Centro de Servicios Corp. CAE is a leading provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies to civil aviation, military and marine customers. The company generates annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion and employs more than 6,000 people in Canada, the United States and around the globe. On the Web: www.cae.com # # # |
