Flagship of Global Training Platform Offering Unparalleled Quality, Service
and Technology
DALLAS/FT.
WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas, September 10, 2002 --
CAE SimuFlite has
become the flagship of a global platform for aviation training, offering
advanced training solutions and technologies, and featuring unparalleled
quality and service.
Less than a year since
the completion of CAE’s acquisition of SimuFlite last January, the
combined expertise, resources and business opportunities have been leveraged
to create the world’s second largest independent aviation training
organization.
CAE SimuFlite’s
recently-expanded Dallas Center is the flagship of CAE’s global
training network that has grown to 16 locations around the globe, with
a total of 68 full flight simulators in operation. The training center,
located at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, is the world’s
largest business aviation training center.
The modern 411,000
square foot facility houses 36 simulator bays, classrooms, dining room,
library and client lounge. In nearby Grapevine, TX, CAE SimuFlite Grapevine
Center is an additional 30,000 square foot training facility with 6 bays.
Business aviation training is also available at CAE’s Dubai facility,
which offers programs for Boeing Business Jet, Airbus A320CJ and available
in 2003, Gulfstream IV and Gulfstream V simulators.
At CAE SimuFlite,
and throughout CAE’s training network, the quality of experienced
instructors offers consistent, standardized training delivery using state-of-the-art
training devices and ground school tools.
In addition to its
global aviation training programs and renowned full flight simulators,
CAE develops a broad range of complementary integrated training solutions,
including flight training devices, visual systems, PC and Internet-based
elearning – and the revolutionary new SimfinityTM training system,
now being deployed by CAE SimuFlite as part of its Boeing Business Jet
Program. Simfinity™ is an interactive simulation tool that leverages
software to give a practical application in an instructor-lead ground
school or avionics lab setting.
“With this new
portfolio and a global platform of nine facilities outside North America
now available to its customers, CAE SimuFlite is more responsive and geographically
closer to the customer,” said Gary Scott, group president, CAE Civil
Simulation & Training.
As CAE pursues its
global expansion, CAE SimuFlite will continue to develop a wide variety
of simulator based training programs as well as enhancing the training
experience through advanced solutions, quality, and service. CAE SimuFlite’s
Six Sigma method will continue to be a focal point for product design
and improvements that are driven by customer needs.
First class, concierge-level
service, rapid response through a single point of contact, and the anticipation
of a client’s needs all reflect CAE SimuFlite’s commitment
to service.
CAE SimuFlite, a
part of CAE’s Civil Simulation and Training Division, provides advanced
training to pilots and maintenance professionals operating piston and
turbine-powered aircraft in private, corporate, military and government
service.
CAE is a global leader
in providing advanced simulation and controls equipment and integrated
training solutions for customers in the civil aviation, military and marine
markets. With annual revenues in excess of C$1 billion, CAE employs more
