| SimuFlite Names New Director, Technical Operations DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas, June 25, 2001 -- SimuFlite Training International Inc. has appointed Walter Slazyk as director, technical operations. In his new role, Slazyk is responsible for all maintenance and engineering efforts associated with SimuFlites nationwide simulator fleet; his duties include visual upgrades, simulator upgrades, FAA and JAA governmental regulatory compliance, and simulator maintenance. He also manages the inventory and distribution of simulator parts and company training materials. Slazyk previously served as SimuFlites senior manager, technical operations. Employed by The Singer Company from 1980 until 1986, Slazyk worked in military helicopter simulation in Alabama and Pennsylvania. In 1986, he transferred to SimuFlite, a recent acquisition of Singer, and relocated to Totowa, New Jersey, to serve as the facility manager at its commercial training center. In 1994, Slazyk relocated to SimuFlites Hercules Flight Training Center in Marietta, Ga., where he served as facility manager and supervised technical operations of the L-382/C-130 simulator program. In 1997, Slazyk came to Dallas to manage SimuFlites corporate aircraft simulator operations. Since transferring to Dallas, Slazyk has supervised the installation of 10 new FAA Level D simulators and seven FAA Level 5 FTDs at the newly expanded facility. Slazyk is based at the SimuFlites headquarters at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. He reports to Tom Ferranti, SimuFlite's vice president, technical services. SimuFlite Training International Inc., the business aviation division of GE Capital Aviation Training, provides advanced training to pilots and maintenance professionals operating turbine-powered aircraft in corporate, military and government service.
