SimuFlite Gulfstream V Simulator Receives FAA Level D Qualification

DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas, June 11, 2001 --

SimuFlite Training International's Gulfstream V full flight simulator has received FAA Level D qualification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and International Level 2 Qualification in accordance with the International Qualification Test Guide under the International Aviation Transport Association. It is the highest simulator rating available.

The new simulator is located at SimuFlite's Dallas/Fort Worth International airport training center, along with four other Gulfstream aircraft simulators.

The new simulator is equipped with a Honeywell SPZ-8500 Integrated Cockpit, a Honeywell FMZ-2000 Flight Management System, a Honeywell PRIMUS 880 Color Weather Radar System, a fully functional Honeywell 2020 Head-Up Display, a Honeywell Global Navigation Satellite System Unit, and an AlliedSignal Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System.

The visual system is a CAE Maxvue Plus, offering a panoramic view of 180 degrees.
The simulator was manufactured by CAE Electronics Ltd., Montreal.

SimuFlite's Gulfstream training product line now includes the following aircraft: Gulfstream II/IIB, Gulfstream III, Gulfstream IV/IV-SP, and Gulfstream V.
